8 Questions to Help Review Your Career

Are you thinking of career change?

The best time for job search and career exploration is anytime, however if you plan on making a career change it is advantageous to do so while still employed, while there is less financial pressure and you can take your time to find the right opportunity. I made a career change within 45 days and I have worked with hundreds of clients who have also made the leap, quickly and without regrets.
Here are questions to help you decide whether now is the right time to look at your career:

  1.  Is your current position aligned with your interests, personality, aptitudes, values, strengths and goals? 
  2. If you have been in your role for years, your job has most certainly evolved - is it still serving you in a positive way?
  3. Does your commute or work/life balance have to change? 
  4. What is your long-term career objective? Will your current career path get you there?
  5. What is it costing you to stay in your current career/role with regards to your health, relationships etc.?
  6. What changes would mean the most to you at this stage of your career?  
  7. Are you climbing up the right ladder? Is the career path you started on still the one for you and how do you know?
  8. Is now the right time for you to make your next career move, or would you like to start the steps necessary to begin the journey?
